bugzilla.mozilla.org feeds failing (error 500)

This appears to be a feature of grabbing https feeds. planet is not
getting a 500 from the server (I put in debug statements - it gets a
200). Best guess is that the client is generating the 500 but I can't
for the life of me figure out why.
