Some problems with the excerpt filter and errors executing planet.py

I can't reproduce this.  Here's the command I use to debug, and in it I 
see properly generated summaries.

python tests/reconstitute.py http://feeds.feedburner.com/Ubuntips 
--filters "excerpt.py?width=100&target=summary"

Could you send me (either on list or off list) your config.ini and 
index.html.tmpl files?
