No, but not as easy as "easy_install lxml" for sure.

Thanks for the offer of help, but I have it working now with lxml.   
I'm happy with that solution, just wanted to share back in case  
anyone else found it useful.  I should probably learn how to install  
debian binaries without apt-get sometime, but not today.
