The last time a patch was accepted for Planet was 2006-07-26 16:53:24 -0700.

The only actively developed codebase at this point is a radical
rewrite that has been widely deployed:

  http://www.intertwingly.net/code/venus/

The Venus codebase has an additional configuration option

  ignore_in_feed: updated

Such an option can be applied on either a feed by feed basis or planet
wide.  Note that if you do apply such an option on feeds like mine or
Tim Bray's, you will miss significant updates.
