FWIW I have just commited a change to my Venus branch at
http://bzr.mfd-consult.dk/venus/ that makes it support more geo tags,
and should include what you need. Otherwise, the changes I've made may
help you locate where to fix it for your needs.

(Sorry, no test cases for now.)
