I'm sorry this is offtopic, but while following the feedvalidator link 
above, I noticed it didn't bother flagging the Root Element Type validity 
constraint violation. [1]

Have I misunderstood the XML spec, or is it just that the feedvalidator 
doesn't check validity constraints?
